DeVries CPAs of Arizona, P.C., is a certified public accounting firm that believes in making a difference through what we do. We have built our practice around serving the needs of the nonprofit community in Tucson, as well as throughout Arizona and the Southwest. We are a full service CPA firm but by specializing in auditing and accounting services for over 130 nonprofit organizations, we are able to give back to the community that contributes so much to its children, elderly and families. We are proud that our expert nonprofit services play a part in fostering the efforts of many wonderful organizations that strive, with their limited resources, to meet the growing needs of our community.
Building on a strong foundation, DeVries CPAs of Arizona P.C., has expanded its practice to serve clients not only throughout Arizona but also now in New Mexico to provide the same level of quality service to a broader number of entities. Although the firm works with many for profit entities such as companies in the retail, construction and real estate industries, we always have a special emphasis in nonprofit organizations.
We believe in giving back to our clients. We perform 20 hours of pro bono service for each of our audit clients. Our clients have these hours available on an annual basis to meet their pressing needs, whether it be accounting research, answering phones or working in a soup kitchen. Our entire team is available to serve those donated hours as needed.
We also created the Non-Profit Organizations’ Financial Administrators’ Network (NPO-FAN) which unites the leaders and accounting personnel of nonprofit groups in Tucson. This group, which meets quarterly, provides a forum where various speakers, media and topics are used to educate and inform nonprofit groups about ways to improve their organizations, to meet the changing demands of the nonprofit community and to address new rules and regulations. Running a business that expends so much effort in serving the nonprofit and business community, we must employ and encourage that same level of effort internally as well. Through our extensive continuing education program, our personnel are kept up to date on changes that will affect all nonprofit and other clients. We are active participants and volunteers in our clients many special events. Also, our professionals are encouraged to take their own initiative and volunteer to serve as members on boards of directors of other nonprofit agencies and take part in community activities.
